I had already solved my problem by installing DivX codecs. When I try to import any video file (AVI files for example) in Adobe Premiere Pro cc in my Macbook Air, I get this error: "codec missing or unavailable" Check out this post and the next for additional information and a solution. However, the MOV wrapper is not supported with this codec, probably even if the codec and format is. Usually, XDCAM EX is contained in a file MP4 and CS3 (version 3.2.0) and up have support for this. I think that the camera records for XDCAM EX (which is MPEG-2). I get the message "Codec missing or unavailable. Is it possible to film in quicktime on the JVC GY-HM100U mode and change the files in Premiere CS3 for PC? If so, how? MOV first Pro CS3 = "Codec missing or unavailable? What the heck is AVin, and how first read this? : G:\Temp\apt fire\E 71st St Apt Fire.new.01.mov do not remember the specifics of the export.
